Grand opening of Flynn Gardens affordable housing

Join the City of Kawartha Lakes and KLH Housing Corp in celebrating the official opening of the Flynn Gardens new affordable housing units on Wednesday Oct. 3 at 11 am. The new units are located at 48 St. Paul Street in Lindsay. There will be opening ceremonies with special guest speakers followed by a tour of the building. Light refreshments will be served.

“With so many people waiting several years for affordable housing, we are pleased to be able to offer another 16 affordable housing units in Lindsay,” says Hope Lee, housing manager. “We would like to give special thanks to our many partners who helped to make this a possibility.”

Quick facts about Flynn Gardens:

*   A three storey 40 unit building originally constructed in 1991
*   16 unit addition in 2018 added another nine one bedroom and seven two bedroom units resulting in a total of 39 one bedroom units and 17 two bedroom units
*   Has a variety of tenant types (singles, seniors, families) and a variety of rent levels that include rent geared to income, affordable market and full market
