Globus Theatre welcomes guests to the Snowball Ball, a festive ball of murder and mayhem
Globus Theatre has created another exciting festive murder mystery, Murder at the Snowball Ball, for the holiday season. With only two productions left of Globus Theatre’s 21st season, you won’t want to miss out on this festive performance.
The Snowball Ball is the highlight of Winterton’s social calendar. All the townsfolk are dressed to impress and regaling one another with glad tidings and gossip. But one guest is about to receive a frosty reception and when the dancing and merriment is interrupted by murder, the festivities become fractious and everyone is out to save themselves. As insults fly and accusations hit hard, the audience must turn detective and find out which of the guests is treading on thin ice. Fun, comedy and mayhem are in this hilarious dinner theatre experience.
Written by Globus Theatre’s Artistic Producer James Barrett, this festive murder mystery dinner theatre stars some of Canada’s best improvisors and performers including Chris Gibbs (Just for Laughs, Not Quite Sherlock), Dave Pearce (SlapHappy, the Strombo Show, CBC), Jennine Profeta (Girls Nite Out; Second City) and Kerry Griffin, (SlapHappy, Second City; Bad Dog Theatre Co.). Joining them are Linette Doherty (The Ladies Foursome; Globus Theatre), Maya Doherty (Annie; The SPACE) and Kelly Burrows (Cinderella; Globus Theatre).
“We always try to bring something timely and exciting to our murder mysteries, and the Snowball Ball is no different,” says Sarah Quick, artistic director. “This year the theme is inspired by the captivating universe of Bridgerton. Many of our guests use the murder mystery as an opportunity to dress to impress, so we thought a ball would be a fun way to immerse everyone in the elegance and charm of the holiday season. It’s the perfect chance to showcase your finest attire and get lost in the world of glamour and intrigue while unraveling the evening’s mystery! And yes, there will be the opportunity to dance.”
