In celebration of Canada Learning Code’s ‘Girls Learning Code Day’, Pinnguaq will be hosting a day of code for girls. Join more than over 900 learners in over 35 cities across Canada participating in Girls Learning Code Day on May 11 in Lindsay.

It’s held at the Kawartha Art Gallery at 190 Kent St. W., from 2-4 p.m. Materials are free for all participants. Laptops will be supplied to participants to use for the workshop if they do not have a computer of their own.

Anyone can have a future in the tech, coding or gaming industries, according to Pinnguaq founder, Ryan Oliver.

“Pinnguaq is delighted to be partnering with our National partners, Canada Learning Code, to deliver this incredible program in both Lindsay and Iqaluit,” Oliver says.

“We encourage any girls interested in coding to join us on May 11 at the Kawartha Lakes Gallery to learn the basics of coding and have fun doing it.”
