The flags at Kawartha Lakes city hall, municipal service centres and Logie Park will be lowered to half-mast for three days to mark the passing of the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Canada’s 18th Prime Minister, who served in the role from 1984 to 1993.

“I am saddened to hear of the passing of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney,” shared Mayor Doug Elmslie. “His work has made a big difference in the Canada we know today. On behalf of Kawartha Lakes Council, our thoughts are with his family, friends and all who were touched by his remarkable life in public service.”

Ah yes– just look at how prosperous Canada has been since the implementation of Free Trade and the GST . In the past 30 years , things have just gotten better and better in Ontario, and the rest of Canada. Thanks PM Mulroney.
