Five Counties Children’s Centre Winterfest is back

By Lindsay Advocate

Five Counties Children’s Centre invites the community to celebrate with them virtually on Family Day weekend.

From Feb 12 to 15 their annual Winterfest fundraising event will offer craft demos, musical entertainment, contests, kids’ activities and an online auction.

Many local businesses, groups and individuals have donated items for the online auction portion of the event to help raise funds for the more than 4,000 kids who receive treatment from Five Counties Children’s Centre each year.

Canadian Tire stores in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, Campbellford and Fenelon Falls have joined forces as lead event sponsors to help make this event possible.

Coburg Canadian Tire owner Ralph Moulton notes that “Five Counties Children’s Centre is a part of all of our area’s Canadian Tire communities. We felt it was important that we come together to support our kids and hope you will join us.”

“Our Winterfest event is all about kids and their families as is Five Counties Children’s Centre,” says Five Counties Children’s Centre CEO Scott Pepin. “The Centre continues to be an essential service in lockdown. Your support helps ensure that although Winterfest isn’t an in-person event this year, it will still bring us together to support the kids who rely on our staff now and in future.”
