Fenelon Falls Small Business Week Virtual Event

The Fenelon Falls and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 2020 Small Business Week Virtual Event on Oct. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The format will be a Q & A with panelists from Workplace Safety and Prevention Services (WSPS) and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.

COVID-19 and workplace safety will be key issues up for discussion.

Panelists include;

Bill Chen, regional community coordinator with Workplace Safety and Prevention Services
(WSPS) who will provide an overview of health and safety basics for small business owners. Bill
will share discuss the Safety Road Map, hierarchy of controls, and introduce to a variety of free
resources to support program development and COVID-19 controls.

Adina Croitoru, is the small business program specialist with the industrial health and safety
program in the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development. She has been an active
member of the Small Business Action Plan Working Group with Occupational Health and Safety
System Partners since the beginning in 2015.

Lori Shepherd, regional community coordinator with Workplace Safety and Prevention Services
(WSPS) brings over 25 years in the occupational health and; safety field and connects with
businesses and communities in Ontario, to share simple safety solutions. Lori is also a trainer for
Health and Safety Certification.
