Fenelon Falls Curling Club’s successful bonspiel

The Fenelon Falls Curling Club’s annual Ladies New Year’s Bonspiel was held Jan. 5, with the theme of “Flower Power,” with hilarious “Laugh In” style entertainment, dress and décor.

Fourteen teams in total participated from Brampton, Orillia, Pickering, Lindsay, Woodville and Fenelon Falls.

The overall winner was the team skipped by Marjory Smith, Vice-Anita Allen, while second place went to Mary Auld and lead Jan Robinson from Lindsay.

All of the ladies enjoyed the bonspiel. The generosity of local merchant donations and sponsorship from Boyer Chevrolet, Economy Wheels Nissan, Kawartha Lakes Honda and Lindsay Pontiac Buick  made the bonspiel something to talk about.

Without the support of the community, it wouldn’t have been possible to host such a successful event.
