Driver charged with refusing to provide a breath sample

On February 23 at 10:44 pm a Kawartha Lakes Police Service constable stopped a vehicle traveling on Durham Street west in Lindsay.

After speaking with the driver, the investigating officer suspected the driver to have consumed alcohol and made a demand that the driver provide a sample of their breath into a screening device.

The driver refused to provide a suitable sample of breath and was arrested.

Charged with refusing to provide a breath sample is 25-year-old Brent Winmill of Woodstock. The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on March 29.
