Days Inn Lindsay takes home three national awards – again

By Lindsay Advocate

Competing against all 110 Days Inn properties across Canada, Lindsay’s Days Inn & Suites has once again walked away with three big awards.

The Lindsay Days Inn has won property of the year, housekeeping team of the year, and the chairman’s award (gold level) for 2021.

The property of the year award has been won by the Lindsay property every year except 2020 – six times out of seven years. This award is awarded to the property that is at the top of many metrics including guest satisfaction, social media rankings, and that actively responds to all guest reviews, amongst other things.

The housekeeping team of the year award has now been won three times by the local Days Inn. This award is awarded to the property with the highest cleanliness score rated by customer reviews – something Days Inn general manager, Candace Buckley, calls “a super big deal considering the (COVID) environment.”

The chairman’s award (gold level) is something the local hotel has won every year since opening. It recognizes the “elite group of Days Inns that meet the highest level of quality,” says Buckley.

Buckley says the awards “are a very big deal to the team.”

“It is amazing to know that even as new hotels are built, we are still out-ranking them even after being open for seven years,” says the GM.

“Our property is truly a special place,” says Buckley, “and it is all thanks to our amazing team here. We certainly have a lot to celebrate this year and to strive for next year.”
