Cross Family philanthropy is transforming care at the Ross
Vehicle sales may be the Cross family’s expertise, but community building is their calling. As owners of Lindsay Buick GMC, Lindsay Dodge, Carstar Lindsay and Uniglass Lindsay, Paul and Beth Cross care about quality of life in the Kawartha Lakes and they know that growth and advancement require investment in community causes.
Rapid population growth in the area and the expanding list of hospital facilities and equipment needs are among the factors that inspired the Cross family’s support for the RMH Foundation’s WE ARE THE ROSS capital campaign.
“The Ross Memorial Hospital is such an integral part of our community. Many of us have used the Ross in some type of capacity, whether it was a procedure to Xrays to ultrasounds,” said Paul. “We feel very fortunate to be able to contribute to this amazing cause and to the future investments being made at the Ross. We know we will help make a difference by supporting essential projects including the expansion of the emergency department and ICU, and ensuring the best diagnostic imaging technology and bedside medical equipment are available to patients here at home.”
On April 21st, Paul and Beth visited the Ross with their family, Adrienne, Elliott and Charles to present the first instalment of their Builder level gift.
“Paul and Beth have long been supporters of patient care at the Ross, and have shown a special interest in the Critical Care program where their giving impacts patients of all ages. Their giving to the WE ARE THE ROSS campaign will expand on that support and go even further, with funds for critical projects that will help the Ross team to care for our growing patient population for years to come,” said Erin Coons, RMH Foundation CEO. “We are honoured to be the focus of the Cross family’s philanthropy.”
