Coney Hatch returns to Lindsay Nov. 29
Rock musician Carl Dixon, long time Haliburton resident, and his band Coney Hatch will perform live at Lindsay’s Flato Academy Theatre Nov. 29, 2024.
“It’s been a long time since Coney Hatch has played near home. The last time we rocked Lindsay was in the summer of ‘85 during our Friction tour,” laughs Dixon. “I’m often asked by Haliburton friends and fans if the Hatch will ever play locally so when Lindsay’s Flato Theatre show fell into place we sealed the deal.”
Nearly forty years since then, the band with three original members, are still rocking and touring. Coney Hatch has just returned from playing festivals in the UK and France and released a double vinyl album “Postcard From Germany.”
During the glory days of 80s rock, Coney Hatch (Dixon at age 22) signed their first international record deal. They were featured on MTV and opened for Judas Priest and Iron Maiden’s North American tours. 42 years on they are with the same record company and continue to tour and record.
Coney Hatch members Andy Curran, Carl Dixon, Dave Ketchum and Sean Kelly will rock the Academy theatre on Friday Nov. 29, at 7:00 p.m. For more information please visit flatoacademytheatre.com/whats-on/coney-hatch.
