Cigarette thieves in Lindsay

Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a convenience located at the corner of Durham Street West and Lindsay Street South after employees arrived at work to find the store had been illegally entered.

Police were contacted yesterday morning after it was discovered that the glass in an employee entrance door had been smashed out and the store had been entered.

Video surveillance revealed that two men entered the store at 4:16 am on Wednesday morning and then removed a quantity of cigarettes and other items.

Both men wore hoodies and items that covered their faces and hands. The total value of items taken exceeds $3,000.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at the time the store was entered or anyone who observed any suspicious activity in the area of the store in the early morning hours of Wednesday.
