Chief Mark Mitchell takes command at KLPS

On Tuesday June 19 Chief Mark Mitchell held his first morning meeting with the administrative staff of the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service.

Mitchell has had a distinguished career since he joined the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, (formerly Lindsay Police Service) in 1990. In March 2018 Mitchell was chosen to lead the police service after the retirement of Chief John Hagarty.

Hagarty, who led the police service for the previous 12 years will officially turn over command of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service to Chief Mitchell during a change of command ceremony on August 30.
