Fenelon Township Public School principal, Greg Arkwright, says he was “shocked” when he got a phone call about three weeks ago from Flato Developments, letting him know his school was green lit for a big donation of $20,000 from the builder.

The city is reviving the 2021 program that saw curbside textile recycling pickup available throughout Kawartha Lakes.

Longtime Lindsay resident Karen McArthur is finishing up her 20th year of canvassing for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and is on track to raise $12,000 this year, surpassing her previous personal record of $7,100 from 2021.

Today, Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL) Hospice Services, through the Community Care Foundation, gratefully received a donation of $12,050 from 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes.
