Car window smashed, purse taken

The rear window of a vehicle in a parking lot at Lindsay Street North and Queen Street in Lindsay was smashed and a purse was taken, say Kawartha Lakes Police.

The vehicle had been parked in the lot while the owner attended an event.

Police searched the area for the purse, which contained a small amount of cash and personal identification, but were unable to locate it.

It is believed the vehicle was entered sometime between 7:30-9 pm last Wednesday.
