Bobcaygeon Music Council begins new concert series

The Bobcaygeon Music Council begins its Music Alive concert series on Oct. 21, with "jazz crossover" duo JoyRide.

In the 20th season of its Music Alive concerts, the Bobcaygeon Music Council begins the series on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. Held at 44 William Street, this venue has the best acoustics, comfortable seating and accessibility that Bobcaygeon has to offer, according to a media release.

Buckle up for a musical JoyRide with thrilling highs, spontaneous departures and unexpected turns. JoyRide is the collaboration of Colin Maier and Mark Camillari with Maier on oboe, bass and vocals and Camillari on piano.

Their music is best classified as “jazz crossover,” which encompasses many styles including jazz, ragtime, blues, tango, gypsy and klezmer. This exciting duo weave their instruments, improvisation and personalities into a multifaceted presentation, notes the release.
