The Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Bobcaygeon & Area Chamber of Commerce, the Coboconk, Norland & Area Chamber of Commerce, the Haliburton BIA, the Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Lindsay BIA, and the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce announce the launch of a new campaign titled Keepin’ It Local.

Developed with funding through the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, Keepin’ It Local aims to energize the local businesses of the Kawartha Lakes, Trent Lakes and Haliburton County by encouraging individuals to prioritize shopping local.

Keepin’ It Local has two main goals: to raise awareness and increase visibility of existing local businesses, and to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of the local businesses based within our region. Additionally, there is a focus on women-led or women-owned businesses. The campaign will also increase the marketing of annual shopping, dining and events during the holiday season.

The campaign includes:

  • A landing page with cohesive branding, and personalized marketing materials and toolkits for each Chamber of Commerce or BIA.
  • Video interviews with local businesses/business owners to provide in-depth and personalized insight into how shopping locally can impact the health and engagement of communities.
  • Regional photography and videography to showcase the opportunities in Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County
  • Multi-faceted advertising; radio, print, online and letterboard to reach a greater audience, along with social media ads, branded banners and brochures to provide a further reach.

The campaign committee will be collaborating with local businesses and media outlets so that the grant funds stay here and create economic growth. More information about the campaign can be found on the Keepin’ It Local website and Instagram:
