Albert Street business broken into

Kawartha Lakes Police are investigating an early morning break and enter after an Albert Street South business owner found they had been broken into early Monday morning.

Police were called to the business early Monday morning, after the owner discovered that someone had illegally entered. The entry occurred between 3:51 am and 5:08 am Monday morning.

It is believed the suspect(s) entered the business through a window and once inside the business they began to rummage through the offices until locating a cashbox. They fled the scene with the cashbox and a small quantity of cash. Police located the cashbox a short distance from the business.

Kawartha Lakes Police are asking that anyone who may have been on Albert Street South, north of Mary Street, between the hours of 3:51 am and 5:08 am to contact them if they saw anything that they think may be suspicious.
