Agri-Palooza promises a night of fun, food, and fundraising for the Lindsay Agricultural Society
The Lindsay Agricultural Society (LAS) is thrilled to announce Agri-Palooza, an exciting fundraiser event set to take place on June 14, 2024, at the Lindsay Fairgrounds. This year, more than ever, the community’s support is crucial. Agri-Palooza promises an evening filled with great food, entertaining games, and fantastic prizes, all in support of the Society.
Taking place in the Commonwell Exhibition Building at the Lindsay Fairgrounds, doors open 4:30 p.m., with a buffet opening at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $40.00 per person.
Each ticket to Agri-Palooza includes a dinner and dessert, prepared buffet-style for a relaxed dining experience. Roast beef and pulled pork will be served courtesy of Nesbitt’s Meat Market and ice cream is provided by Kawartha Dairy. With no dress code and farm table style seating, guests can enjoy a casual and social atmosphere, perfect for mingling and making new connections within our community.
The evening will be packed with engaging activities and games, offering numerous chances to win door prizes. The highlight of the night is the grand prize, which could be up to $5,000, depending on the number of tickets sold. With a maximum of 500 tickets available, each purchase not only boosts patrons’ chances of winning but also directly supports the Lindsay Agricultural Society.
“This fundraiser is especially important this year as we have faced several unexpected event cancellations that have significantly impacted our revenue,” says Shanice Sproule, general manager. “Agri-Palooza is a key opportunity for us to better our financial position as we get ready to host the 170th Lindsay Exhibition and the 2024 International Plowing Match.” President Bev Fisher expressed her enthusiasm for the evening and the cause, saying “Join us for a night of fun, food, and community spirit at Agri-Palooza. Your participation and generosity ensure that the Lindsay Agricultural Society can continue to thrive and serve our community. We look forward to seeing you there!”
Tickets for Agri-Palooza can be purchased at shop.lindsayex.com or in person at the LAS office. Members of the community are encouraged to spread the word by inviting friends, family, and colleagues to join in on the fun. They are likewise encouraged to consider purchasing tickets even if they cannot attend, as every contribution helps the LAS reach its goal, and purchased tickets will still be eligible to win door prizes even if their holders are not present.
