Advocate columnist among 2018 Osprey Heritage Award winners
The Osprey Heritage Awards Program honoured five recipients at a special council meeting with hand-painted commemorative plaques – including Lindsay Advocate columnist, Ian McKechnie. The awards were for outstanding contributions towards the creation, preservation, enhancement and promotion of heritage in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
The awards were part of an initiative of the Kawartha Lakes Municipal Heritage Committee to promote heritage in our community.

Heritage Vision; Lisa Hart
Architectural Heritage; Old Lindsay Post building
Community Heritage; Ian McKechnie
