Given that May is mental health awareness month, Lori Mitchell, acupuncturist, has found a way to both help and give back at the same time.

Mitchell is holding a special clinic at The Lindsay Lounge at 68 McLaughlin Road, unit five, on May 14 from Noon to 5 pm.

“Too many people suffer in silence and we want to be able to help those who need it,” says Mitchell, who will offer traditional Chinese acupuncture treatments to help those with symptoms of anxiety, depression and pain.

Treatments should be booked in advance and all treatments will work on a sliding scale, depending on how much a person wants to pay.

The range is $15-$30 for 30 minutes. Or choose a full treatment for 45 minutes at a range of $30 to $70. Acupuncture is often used, she says, to help with symptoms of mental health or pain of various kinds.

All proceeds will go to benefit The Canadian Mental Health Association. Call 705-341-8830 for more information or to book your appointment.
