Actor from Sort Of, Star Trek, offering acting coaching to local thespians

Ayesha Mansur Gonsalves, an actor who has starred in Star Trek Discovery, CTV’s The Spencer Sisters, and CBC’s critically acclaimed series, Sort Of, is offering acting coaching in Kawartha Lakes.

The Toronto actor and her husband moved here with her Mom, stepdad, and sister, in May 2021 so their family could be closer together, after falling in love with Lindsay.

“I love the process of guiding a person toward their goals, finding tweaks to hone their craft, and watching them develop their skills and nuance,” says Mansur Gonsalves on her intent to help local actors. “It’s a process that I’m always honoured to be a part of.”

Mansur Gonsalves is still a working actor, but her focus has shifted more to creation, with several writing projects. This includes her new family sitcom, Disagreeable.

She also recently joined the board of directors at The Academy Theatre. “It’s such a gorgeous, historic theatre, and I’m really excited to see what we can make happen there.”
