Workshops to assist with funding applications

The Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation (KLCFDC) has announced three workshops to assist businesses, groups and individuals with possible funding applications as well as to learn more about other products and services they have to offer.

“We are now accepting applications for the Eastern Ontario Development Program, (EODP) for 2018,” says Andrew Wallen, general manager of the KLCFDC.

Through EODP, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) is collaborating with Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) in Eastern Ontario to promote the growth of new and existing businesses and to promote jobs, growth and prosperity in rural communities.

To date EODP has provided more than $7,000,000 in contributions to local businesses, organizations and individuals in the funding streams of business development and community innovation.

The three workshops are scheduled starting Feb. 5 in Fenelon Falls, followed by Feb. 6 in Lindsay and Feb. 8 in Woodville. All workshops will begin at 5:15 pm. Anyone can attend and no reservations are required.

While EODP may currently be the program of greatest interest, there is information on the Corporation’s other activities also being made available.

“We also have our full business lending program, including BIP, our Business Improvement loans, which can be interest-free. We want the community to be aware of all that is available, and we hope to see lots of people attending and asking questions,” says Wallen.

More details and the schedule of the Workshops are also available at the Corporation’s website here.
