Police seek help identifying robbery suspect
At 4:15am police responded to a robbery at a Lindsay Street South convenience store in Lindsay, ON.
During the robbery a male suspect brandished a knife and demanded money and merchandise before leaving the area on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as:
- Male white with a heavy build and a short beard
- wearing a black hat, black shirt and grey pants.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information which may assist in the investigation are asked to contact the Kawartha Lakes Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch at 705-324-5252 or Kawartha Haliburton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
*Chris Sauve of Smith Falls was arrested Aug. 6 at 9:30 and has been charged with
- Robbery x 5
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose x 2
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Breach of probation x 5
He was held in custody and transported to the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay
pending a bail hearing.
