Police investigating motorcycle collision in Bobcaygeon

Members of the Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with fire and EMS, attended the scene of a serious two-vehicle collision on County Road 49 in Bobcaygeon.
On Friday Aug. 18, at approximately 12:35 pm, Kawartha Lakes OPP received a call related to a two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle on County Road 49, near Main Street, in Bobcaygeon. The motorcycle driver, a 56-year-old male from Burnt River, was taken to hospital but later airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-altering injuries.
County Road 49 was closed for several hours as members of the OPP’s Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team attended the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.
