On Friday, May 8, 2026, he passed away peacefully at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes in Lindsay, in his 95th year.

Bill was the devoted husband of the late Beatrice Langdon (née Simones) and the cherished father of Janice and John Harris, Bill and Bonnie Langdon and Lori and Wayne Greer.

He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Megan (Trevor), Mailie (Sean), Craig (Lindsay), Marnie (Mitch), Billy (Mary), and Jenna (Josh). Also survived by step grandchildren Daniel (Nicole) and Jonathan (Lindsay). He was a proud great grandfather to Maison, Kylie, Brinley, and Brock.

Bill loved playing bridge, listening to music, square dancing, and sharing his quick wit and humour with family and friends. The family cottage held a special place in his heart and was the setting for many of his most treasured memories. He also enjoyed watching his grandchildren have fun together in the pool, moments that brought him great joy.

Cremation has taken place, and a private service will follow.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Extendicare Kawartha Lakes for their exceptional and compassionate care of Bill during his stay. Their kindness and dedication went above and beyond and will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
