Obituary For Tony Paul McFadden

It is with great sadness that the family of Tony (Anthony) Paul McFadden announces his death on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Tony leaves behind his loving wife Gail, (nee Pearce), and their beloved children Erin, (Brad), and Andrew, (Kim); Grandchildren Cole McFadden, (Brianna), Karli McFadden, (Nick), and Joey Otter, (Brittany) and Great Grandchildren Maverick Otter, Aralyn McFadden, and his two yet-to-be met grandchildren expected this Spring and Summer. Tony was the son of the late Alma and Delmer McFadden of Brampton and earlier Fenelon Falls. He is survived by his brother Stephen (Doreen), and sisters Debby (Steve) and Laura (Brian) and by his treasured cousins Barry and Linda. and predeceased by Diana.

Tony married Gail, his high school sweetheart, in 1969 and they shared a loving, happy marriage for almost fifty-seven years as they raised their family and grew their business, “McFadden Electric “. Tony enjoyed an impeccable reputation as an excellent electrician and there are very few cottages and homes in Fenelon Township that he didn’t wire. He took great pride in his work, always holding neatness and excellence as high priorities.

Tony loved to help people and to make people laugh, and this poem seems to say what he’d want us to know:

Afterglow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.

-Helen Lowrie Marshall

There will be a private family graveside service in the spring for Tony at Pinegrove Cemetery, Norland. Details have been entrusted to Jardine Funeral Home, Fenelon Falls.

If desired memorial donations to Christ Church Coboconk, The Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
