With deep love and fond remembrance, we announce the peaceful passing of Rosemary (Rosie) McGill on June 1, 2025, in her 94th year at Fenelon Court Nursing Home.

Rosie was a cherished soul - full of life, always smiling, and known for enduring optimism. Her favourite saying, “rise above it,” reflected the grace and strength with which she lived her life. A retired medical office secretary, Rosie was a steady, kind-hearted presence to all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of the late Jake McGill, and the loving mother of three devoted sons: Wilson (Dona), Mike (Angela), and Jim (Vicki). She was a proud grandmother to Connor, Tyler, Robert, Laurel, Garrett, Jase, and Josh, and a joyful great-grandmother to Ryan and Ben.

Rosie was predeceased by her brother, Wilson Burd, and leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering spirit will be missed dearly and remembered always.
