Roger R. Cook, born in Niagara Falls in 1944, passed away peacefully in Lindsay on May 25, 2025, at the age of 80. Roger was the beloved husband of Jackie Cook (nee Starbuck), whom he married in 1971, and together they shared a lifetime of love, travel and cherished memories. Roger is survived by his children, Martin (Wanda), Devon (Matt) and his grandchildren, Paige and Jared, who were the light of his life. He will be dearly missed by his sister Sandra, niece Debbie (Jim), and his brother David (Sharon). Roger's career in nursing began in 1964 at St. Catharines General Hospital where his passion for healthcare quickly propelled him to leadership. He advanced to become Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Ross Memorial Hospital, retiring after a distinguished 36-year career. A devoted family man and friend, Roger loved to cook and entertain, filling his home with laughter, good food, and cherished memories. He and Jackie enjoyed traveling with friends, and especially loved their winters in Spain. Roger will be remembered for his humour, warmth, and commitment to his family and community.
