Rodney Baker passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren, in his 90th year.

Born on November 6, 1936, in Markstay, Ontario, Rodney was the son of the late Bernard and Henrietta Baker. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Donna Baker (née Ball), with whom he shared nearly 69 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and devotion.

Rodney will be deeply missed by his children: Gary (Julie), Derek (Ruth), Jackie (Keith Barr), and Darryl (Karen). He will be lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way.

He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rodney’s quiet strength, love of family, and lasting presence will remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the phenomenal staff at Caressant Care (Mary St.), and the caring and compassionate staff at Riverside Funeral Home and Cremation Centre.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, May 31st at Greenbank Centennial Hall (19965 Highway 12, Greenbank, ON, L0C 1B0) from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
