Obituaries

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Eric” Cross on July 15, 2025 at the age of 81. Eric was born in Toronto, Ontario. Eric was the son of the late Walter Ernest Cross and Edith Belle Field. He is predeceased by his brothers Walter Gordon (Beth) and Robert Earl, and sister Elizabeth Warry. He is survived by his spouse Dianne, his children; Jim (Naomi), Keith (Stephanie), and his grandchildren; Nate, Hailey and Faith.

Eric was a professional firefighter for over 50 years with Lindsay Ops Fire Department. Prior to that he was a heavy equipment mechanic with the County of Victoria and the Town of Lindsay. Eric was an avid ATV rider and hunter. He was one of the founding members of Kawartha ATV Association. He also loved to travel, taking trips to England, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. In keeping with Erics wishes, cremation has already taken place. If desired, donations can be made to Parkinsons Canada
