It is with heavy hearts that the family of Paul Gerald Clarke announce that he, in his 77th year, passed peacefully from this world into the loving arms of His Lord and Saviour on January 31, 2026. Paul “Barney” Clarke was born on March 9, 1949 to Eileen and Ernie Clarke in Toronto, Ontario. Paul leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 49 years, Fran Clarke. He will be profoundly missed by his children and grandchildren, Shannon (Jim), Chris (Melissa), Emily, Grace, Grady, Tessa, and Benson. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother and sisters Wayne (Brigitte), Laureen, Melanie (Gord); his sisters and brothers in law Denise (Dennis), Janine (Bob); and his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Paul was a Detective Constable with the Toronto Police Service for 30 years, serving in many divisions. Paul was an active member of Trentside Baptist Church in Bobcaygeon. He enjoyed poker games and Men’s Bible Study with great friends and fellow believers. His favourite times were trips with Fran and “Cousin’s Camp” with his five grandchildren. He will be missed by, “the best dog in the world”, Riley. The family will receive friends and family at Jardine’s Funeral Home in Fenelon Falls on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be a Celebration of Life at Trentside Baptist Church in Fenelon Falls at 11:00am on Thursday, February 5, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trentside Baptist Baptist Church or Community Care, Kawartha Lakes.
