Obituary For Mitchell Arthur Palmer

October 5, 1959 – May 2nd , 2025

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our loving, adventurous, creativeand caring Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle, Mitchell Arthur Palmer. Mitch (Mitchell) was the only son and last of 4 offspring born to Jack Arthur Palmer (deceased) and Betty Ellen Palmer (deceased).

Mitch grew up at Musselman’s Lake. Here he gained his love for water. Mitch above all was a carpenter. His first serious job was as a Bell Linesman and this was a good foundation for his life of construction. Mitch was in his element whenever building things. A do-it-all kind of guy - from drafting to constructing, to plumbing and electrical. Everything, you name it, he would do it. He was so creative he could produce anything he dreamt up.

Mitch was a head carpenter for E.P. Entertainment. This is where he blossomed. All of his talents matured there.

Mitch craved adventure so he and his wife, Jeannie, flew to many tropical destinations. He purchased and completely renovated a cute Boler trailer and even a houseboat and later a cabin cruiser. This way his adventurous travelling was extended to local destinations.

Mitch is survived by his wife of 32 and a half years, Jeannie, daughter Holly and son Brayden (Britny), with grandchildren Maverick, Navi, and another granddaughter due this May. Sisters Elizabeth McDonald (Roger), Pamela Bishop (Brett), and Susan Sherman (Peter). Uncle Larry Fairen was loved like a second father to Mitch.

Mitch will be cremated and interred with family attending, and a Celebration of Life will be held for family at a later date.

The family would like to thank the Oddette Centre for all its support. A huge thanks for the palliative care service provided by Home and Community Care Support Services in The City of Kawartha Lakes. He appreciated everything you all did for Mitch.
