It is with sadness that we mourn the passing of our mom, Marilyn Anne Jones (née Todd). She slipped away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2025, at the age of 93. Marilyn was the wife of the late Fred Jones (1976), and a lifelong partner and best friend of Ken Harrison. She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Leatha Todd, sister of Aileen (the late Mike Dean), and the late Gwen (the late Harold Webb). Loving mother of Debbie Stacey (Larry), Fred (Carol), the late Chris (1992), and Dan (Julie). Proud Grandma to Sarah Gaikis (Bentley), Meghan Kucktaruk (Nick), Adam Stacey (Melissa), Taylor Jones (Jordan), and Natalie Jones. Adoring Great-Grandma of Lincoln, Welland, and Kensie Gaikis. Marilyn was a strong woman who overcame many challenges in her life. She was born into the hard times of the depression. She faced the loss of her husband early in life with four kids still in school. Then came losing a son, something no parent should ever have to bear. But Mom took each day as it came in her unselfish, generous and loving way. After a career at the Ross Memorial Hospital (retired in 1996), she had a happy and healthy retirement enjoying life and cheering on her Blue Jays. Thank you to all the team members at the Ross Memorial Hospital for their care and kindness over the last several weeks. Visitation will take place at the Stoddart Funeral Home, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay on Friday, October 10th from 1:00pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3:00pm. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes. Mom/Grandma will be missed - forever in our hearts.
