We are heartbroken beyond measure to announce that Loretta Joanne Dawe passed away on Monday May 25, 2026 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.

Joanne was the beloved daughter of the Late Mary and Harvey Dawe. Devoted eldest sister of Carolyn, Joel (Susan), Kenneth (2023), Lisa (Wayne), Judy (Hugh), Jamie (Penny), Rebecca (Ed), and Erica (Kelly). She was a proud and loving Aunt and Great Aunt. Predeceased by George, and their wonder dog Cuda. Joanne enjoyed a fun and laugh filled relationship with her very friendly storytelling companion Donald, and his family.

Joanne always “had a hoot” with her group of close-knit friends and always looked forward to their next adventure.

Joanne was dedicated to a fulfilling Real Estate career, spanning over 50 years.

Our sister Joanne had an extremely creative personality and shared this with everyone through her conversations and colourful paintings, quilting, knitting, and display of gorgeous flower gardens. Her remarkable recipes always stood out with her Christmas Shortbread cookies being the family favourite… Mmmm.

We have been painfully reminded to enjoy each day, as we are not promised tomorrow.
