Obituaries

Entered into rest peacefully with family by his side, at Caressant Care Mary Street on Wednesday, January 14th. Leo at the age of 73, was the beloved husband of the late Bonnie (née Johnston). Loving Dad to Scott Winn (Michelle), and Martin Winn (Julie). Cherished Poppa to Anna and Daniel. Predeceased by beloved parents, Stephen and Mary Winn, father-in-law Murray Johnston, and survived by Jean Winn, and mother-in-law Jean Johnston. Dear brother of George (Patti), Eileen Hennessey (the late Bob), Paul (Colleen), the late Clare, and the late Helen, and brother-in-law to Lori Scully (John), and Jamie Johnston (Jen). Leo will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation took place at the Downeyville Hall on Wednesday, January 21st from 2:00 – 4:00pm, and 6:00 – 8:00pm, on Thursday, January 22nd from 2:00pm – 4:00pm, and 6:00 – 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church on Friday, January 23rd at 11:00am. Interment followed at the St. Luke’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Community Care Foundation of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
