Joanne Lillian Ezard, 79, of Lindsay (Snug Harbour), Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at Victoria Manor Assisted Living.

Born in July 1946 in Toronto, Ontario, Joanne was the daughter of Olive and George McPhee. Joanne was married to Joe Ezard for over 61 years. They raised their children in Georgetown, Ontario, and then decided to make their home in beautiful Snug Harbour for the last 34 years.

Joanne had a love of cats, particularly Persians, where she became a breeder and later a cat judge, travelling across the country doing what she loved. She enjoyed reading and could always be found in her gardens.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Joe; her daughter, Joelle (Scott); and her son, Jason (Arati). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Austin, Adrien, Jorden, and Ashley; her brother Wayne (Karen, deceased); her niece Shannon; and her youngest brother, Michael (partner Rhonda, deceased).

As per Joanne’s wishes, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Ontario Alzheimer’s Society or to Victoria Manor Assisted Living, Lindsay, Ontario, where the staff in the Elford House took exceptional care of Joanne for the last 15 months.
