Obituaries

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Jody (née Ball) Taylor on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Jody, of Bobcaygeon, was in her 63rd year. Beloved wife and best friend of 45 years to Paul Taylor. Loving mother of Jason Taylor and his wife Sarah of Kingston, and Chris "Wendel" Taylor of Bobcaygeon. Jody will be deeply missed by her mother, Hilda Ball of Fenelon Falls, and she is predeceased by her father, Orland Ball (2001). Dear sister of Carolyn Fountain, Debbie Ball, and predeceased by her brothers Roger Ball (2005), Ernie Ball (2023), and Jeff Ball (2023). Jody will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews and friends.

Jody was a dedicated and long-serving employee at Gordon Yacht Harbour Marina in Bobcaygeon for almost 30 years. Her ability to manage every aspect of the marina was truly exceptional. Gordon's was Jody's second home. She was well known and loved throughout the Trent Severn Waterway and will be deeply missed by the boating community.

Private cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jardine Funeral Home, Cremation & Tribute Centre, 8 Princes' St. W., Fenelon Falls. A celebration of life for family and friends will be announced at a later date. If desired, donations in Jody's memory to the Kawartha Lakes Humane Society would be appreciated by her family.
