Obituary For Jeffrey Edward Hutton

Jeffrey Hutton passed away November 23, 2024, at 65. A native of Lindsay, ON where he resided 50 years with his loving wife Patti raising their two children before relocating to Grand Forks, BC to further his career with Rockwool. A devoted father to Megan and her Husband Michael, Dane and his fiancé Phoebe and a fun-loving Grandfather to Jackson and Leo Catalano, that he looked forward to sharing his passions with as well.

Jeff always enjoyed the little things in life spending his time outdoors hiking with their dogs, fishing, golfing, camping, and biking, all experiences that he loved sharing in with Patti, his children and grandchildren. Most known in his family for his unique and infectious sense of humour bringing moments of levity to any get-together and his memory will live on through the many funny sayings he had created.

Known in both communities as an avid athlete playing hockey in Lindsay, and Fastball in the surrounding area, even winning All-Ontario Championships in both sports. Later in life he took up curling and was easy to find with Patti at Christina Lake Golf Club. When he wasn’t participating, he’d often be caught flipping channels between hockey, baseball and football.

Survived by his wife Patti; Children Megan and husband Michael Catalano, Dane Hutton and fiancé Phoebe Heslop; Grandchildren, Jackson and Leo Catalano; Parents, Joan and Ted Hutton; Siblings, Lisa and husband Brendan O’Grady, Steve Hutton and his wife Judy.

Although Jeff is no longer with us, he will live on in our thoughts forever.

A celebration of life will be held in Lindsay, Ontario in the spring of 2025 which will be communicated out through the family.
