Janet passed away peacefully on January 4th., 2025 at her home in San Jose del Cabos, Mexico, surrounded by her children Amanda ( Jay) and Jamie.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carson (2014) her brother Gary (2007) and her sister Cathie (2016).

Janet is deeply missed by her children, her siblings Dan (Louise),Ellen (David) of Bobcaygeon and Karen (Grant) of Prince Albert as well as her in-laws Grace and Joe of Victoria, B.C. She was a loving and generous aunt to her many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend to all who knew her.

In 1996, Janet and Carson moved to Bobcaygeon where they embraced community life. In 2000 she joined her sisters in opening Sisters Pace Fitness, a place where she thrived, welcoming new faces and building lasting friendships.

Janet and Carson fell in love with Mexico during their travels and eventually purchased a second home there. After Carson’s passing, Janet made Mexico her permanent residence. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to charitable work, focusing especially on helping children and families in need. At her celebration of life in Mexico she was remembered as a pillar of the community, selfless, dedicated and full of heart.

Every summer, Janet returned to Bobcaygeon to reconnect with her family and friends. Her warmth, generosity and boundless spirit will be remembered always both in Canada and in the community she so lovingly embraced in Mexico.
