Ian Peter Gourley passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, in Lindsay, Ontario, at the age of 85. Born on August 12, 1940, in Cornwall, Ontario, Ian was the beloved son of Dr. Ian Gourley and Dorothy Gourley (Munro).

Ian is survived by his devoted wife, Anita Gourley (Kallion), his children Jennifer Gourley (Sean) and Andrew Gourley (Sarah), and his cherished grandsons, Bennett and Maxwell Gourley. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Scott Gourley (Antoinette), and by his nieces and nephews: Heather Gourley (Moffatt), Erin Gourley (Green), David and Brian Kallion.

Ian found his greatest joy on the water, where he felt most connected to nature’s beauty. The St. Lawrence River held a special place in his heart, especially near the family cottage where so many memories were made. In honour of his wishes, his ashes will be scattered there, returning him to the place he loved most.

Ian’s steady presence, love for sports and games, and deep appreciation for the natural world will be remembered always by those who knew and loved him.
