Geoff Brooks, 71 of Lindsay passed away on May 16, 2026. Geoff was born in London, Ontario on July 27, 1954 to his loving parents Gord & Laverne Brooks (both predeceased). Geoff worked at Lindsay This Week where he met many locals, friends, and associates. After leaving Lindsay This Week, he continued working in the public sector and customer care roles, always bringing patience and kindness to those he dealt with. In recent years he found fulfillment working as a maintenance man helping countless people in the local business and apartment communities.

Geoff loved the outdoors as an avid hunter and fisherman, and in the past even trapped. He loved being on his favourite watch at the Carnarvon Hunt Club. He was also a familiar and friendly face at the dog park in Ken Reid Conservation Area, where he spent many happy hours with his beloved dog, Quest! He loved watching birds, reading a good book, socializing with friends and most of all spending time with his family. Known for his kindness, helpful nature, and unforgettable "Geoffisms" - his trademark one liners - Geoff had a way of making people smile, even complete strangers. He leaves behind many cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Geoff is survived by his loving wife and best friend Debbie, his sons; Jason, Justin (Amy), Mike (Mandy), his grandkids; Dominic, Abigail and Zoey, as well as siblings Glenn (Susan) and Arlene (Pete) and his nephews Tyler and Landon Hagemann.

A Celebration of Geoff's Life will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North on Friday May 29, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
