A life well lived, a rest well deserved.

With saddened hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of a loving mom, Grandma, and special GG, Eunice Benson in her 93rd year at Fenelon Court on July 22nd, 2025.

Born September 5th, 1932, to Tom and Violet Windrem, and at the age of 5 became the chosen daughter of Hurley and Leona Butler. She started working for CIBC and met the love of her life Calvin, and after 58 years of marriage he passed away in 2011.

Predeceased by her daughter Lynda (1991), sons Lawrence (2003), and Ronnie (1971). Survived by her loving daughter Elly and her husband Wayne, and her cherished grandchildren Ryan (Jennifer), Kathleen (Neil), and Matthew (Maggie) . Special GG to Calvin, Alexandra, and Scott Cockburn, Isla and Raelynn Marshall, and Lucy McCuaig. She loved them beyond words, and her beautiful smile came out when she saw them. She was so happy that her family was growing.

Survived by her brother Lawrence (Helen), and sister-in-law Madge, predeceased by Grant. Eunice will be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours, and her special fur baby Benji, no one ever left her house without a bit of cat hair.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Woodville/Eldon Foodbank or the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes would be gratefully accepted, and can be made by cheque at the Stoddart Funeral Home, or at the Woodville Legion Br. 184 at the celebration of Life that will be held on Saturday September 6th, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Smith's Cemetery at a later date.
