Forever In Our Memory

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Emma Vera, on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2025 at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes, Colborne Street, Lindsay, Ontario. Emma, in her 96th year was the youngest daughter of the late Florence Levely and John McKinnon. Beloved wife of the late John Gustavsen and late William Perry. Loving mother to Dennis (predeceased), Shirley (Don), Jean, Nancy, Thomas (Elouise), William (Donna), Trevor (Heather) and Lorraine (Joe). Cherished grandmother to Sherrilynn, Jim, Amy, Darian, David, Matthew, Justin, Adam, Melissa and Marcie (both predeceased) Shawna, Aleisha, Stephanie, Samantha, Nicholas, Angela, Trevor, Jacqui, Cameron and Madison. Great Grandma to thirty grandchildren and Great Great Grandma to eight. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Ruth Barber and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A special thanks to her extended family at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes for all their loving care and support.

The family received friends at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Saturday May 17th from 11:00am until time of service, which was held in the chapel at 12:00pm. Interment at the Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.

If desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made by cheque through Mackey Funeral Home or online.
