Obituaries

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Elaine Evelyn Grills (née Kemp) at the age of 84. Elaine was the wife of Bruce Grills for 63 years.

She was the daughter of the late George and Mae Kemp, and grew up in a large family of 13 kids. She is predeceased by her siblings; Mildred, Marjorie, June, Bernice, Carol, Colleen, Gordon, and Wayne. Survived by Doreen, George, Ted, and Linda.

Loving mother to John (Christine), Tim (Sue), and Julie (Dan). Adoring Grandmother to Emily (Troy), Scott (Courtney), Connor (Danica), Abbey, Emma, Taylor (Jordan), and Natalie, as well as her great-grandchildren Greyson, and Brody.

Mom will be fondly remember by all who knew her. She was a faithful servant to God, her community, family, and friends.

Visitation was held at the Little Britain Community Baptist Church on Friday, January 2nd from 11:00am until time of funeral service which took place at 1:00pm. A light luncheon followed. A private family interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.

If desired, a memorial donation would be appreciated to the Little Britain Community Baptist Church, or the Valentia Community Centre by cheque through Mackey Funeral Home, which would be appreciated by the family.
