Peacefully in the presence of her family at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in her 76th year. Edith Ann Edwards (nee Hubbs) was the beloved wife of Richard Edwards of Fenelon Falls. She was the cherished mother of Melanie Edwards of Oshawa, Johanna (Anna) Edwards of Lindsay, and Jonathan Edwards and his wife Sabrina of Port Union. Edith was the proud and loving grandmother of Theodore and Austin. She will also be fondly remembered by Christopher and Meaghan Lock of Toronto.

Edith will be deeply missed by her siblings; Ruth Seepaul (the late Len Seepaul) of Mississauga, Robert Hubbs and his wife Faith of Hamilton, Philip Hubbs and his wife Jane of Alliston. David Hubbs and his wife Kim of Monetville, and Madelaine Davis and her husband Bill of Sunderland. She will also be missed by her brother in law Don Edwards and his husband Lyle Beaman of Stratford and her many nieces and nephews.

Edith was born in Creemore and was raised in the Woodville and Cannington areas. She attended Brock High School where she excelled in the Arts. Upon graduating high school, Edith attended the New School of Art in Toronto and pursued artistic endeavours for the remainder of her life. She was known for her love of music, art restoration and was an avid painter and gardener.

Edith was raised in the Baptist church; however, it was her encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit in Salem, Ontario in 1970 along with her husband Richard which revolutionized their lives and from that moment forward their primary focus was their spiritual walk with the Lord. For the rest of her life, she was a spiritual influence on all who knew her.
