Doris Woods, born on January 12, 1928 went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

Doris was a daughter of Harold Gillard (d.1993) and Ida “Nellie” Carr (d.1928). Doris is survived by her sister, Judy (John), predeceased by her older sister Ruth (d.2016).

Doris married Percy Woods (d.2022). They raised three children: Douglas (Lisa), Robert (Jackie), and Marilyn (Andrew). Doris was the grandmother of Braum Woods (Jacqueline), April-Leigh Mantle (Dan), Andrew Woods, Jessie Vanderkleyn (Adam), Gerrit Woods (Jasmine), and Graham Black (Heather). She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren. Doris was especially grateful to spend time with her great-granddaughter Addison.

A funeral service will be held at New Life in Christ AGC in Beaverton, ON on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Visitation will be at 10 am followed by the service at 11am. Luncheon will follow the service. Interment will be at Highland Hills Cemetery in Gormley with family only.

Doris' life was filled with simple joys, quiet faith, and deep love for her family. While we will miss her, we take comfort in knowing she is now at home with her Saviour.
