Passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 92. He will be lovingly remembered by his adored wife, Christine "Chris" Lahr; his daughter, Debbie Lahr (Gord); his son Michael Lahr (Marcia); his stepdaughter, Diane Cairns (Ian); six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Denny was born in Huntington, Indiana and lived a full and happy life. He earned his B.S. in chemistry from Purdue University, followed by his time in the U.S. Army where he was mainly stationed in Japan. He moved to Canada to work for Pennwalt Canada Ltd. In 1975, he married the love of his life and his retirement years were happily divided between Sun City, Arizona, and the family cottage on Troy Lake in Ontario. He also spent several years in Bobcaygeon - first at Edgewater Condos and later at Kawartha Lakes Retirement Suites - before his final years at Caressant Care LTC on Mary Street.

Throughout his life, Denny found joy in travel, fishing, golf, and trips to Laughlin, Las Vegas, and the racetrack.

A service will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on September 20th, at 9:00am. The service will also be livestreamed.
