Obituaries

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charlene Mary MacKay. Charlene passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital on March 25th 2025, with family and friends by her side. Charlene was predeceased by her parents, Lance MacKay and Marlene MacKay (Nee Giddings). She will be deeply missed by her siblings, David (Christine), Sherry (Bryan), Jackie and Mark (Jeanette). She was also a loving Aunt to Joel (Taryn), Tyler (Paula), Lacey (Chad), Lance (Kassy), Jamie (Kurt), Megan and predeceased by Anastasia. Charlene also had many great nieces and nephews that will miss their Aunt Char. She was blessed with many friends that turned into family, she deeply loved. Charlene will be sorely missed by her lifelong friend Les.

Charlene loved working as a waitress, enjoying the company of all her regulars and loyal customers in the Lindsay area. She will be remembered for her big smile, distinct laugh, joy for life and love for everyone and everything this life had for her. Friends and Family will fondly remember the house parties, card games and backyard BBQ's. Charlene was all too happy to host, waiting on us all no matter where she was. Her kind spirit is something we can all take with us to be better people on this earth.

The family would like to send a thank you to the Ross Memorial staff for all of their hard work, incredible compassion and diligence, not only for Charlene but the family and friends that spent precious time with her. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at the Lindsay Legion on July 26,2025 from 11-4 PM. Charlene wished for her friends and family to gather on a sunny day to celebrate her wonderful life. In lieu of flowers we encourage everyone to be kind to others to honour Charlene's soul.
