Obituary For Bruce Edward George Faulkner
Passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). A resident of Lindsay since 1965, Bruce lived his life by the principle of giving back to the community that supported him.
Known to many as the longtime owner and operator of Quinn’s Pharmacy, Bruce grew the business into a regional landmark on Kent Street. He was an innovator in his profession, famously installing a private consultation room decades before it became a standard requirement. After the business was sold to Shoppers Drug Mart, he continued as a store associate and remained a familiar face behind the pharmacy counter well into his 70s.
Bruce's fingerprints are visible across Lindsay’s civic landscape. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Lindsay for 41 years and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow. Alongside Dr. Ed Stevenson and Don Warner, he was named a Lindsay Citizen of the Year for his role in building the Lindsay Recreation Complex on Adelaide Street South. Bruce took immense pride in turning the keys of the "Aquatorium" over to the town entirely debt-free. To ensure the facility's success, he founded the Lindsay Lightningbolts Swim Club in 1978 and was recently honoured as a 2024 Inductee into the Lindsay Sports Hall of Fame as a Builder.
He was also a Founding Member and first President of the Lindsay Men’s Probus Club and an active participant in the "Blue Club" for over 20 years.
Bruce was predeceased in 2022 by his wife of 60 years, Lynne Aileen Faulkner (n. Griffiths), for whom he was a devoted caregiver. He is survived by his children, Vicky Webster (Dave) of Lindsay and Brian Faulkner (Heather) of Vancouver, BC, and his grandsons, Tyler, Josh, Nicholas, and Owen.
